Veloevolution is a non-governmental organization officially established on August 7, 2007, uniting passionate cyclists and supporters who believe in a more bicycle-friendly future for their cities. The organization provides a platform for enthusiasts to share ideas, collaborate, and take action to improve cycling conditions, infrastructure, and culture across Bulgaria.

Everyone involved contributes their time, knowledge, and skills voluntarily — and in return, becomes part of a community that drives real, lasting change.

Our Mission and Goals

Veloevolution works to:

• Represent cyclists before the public and authorities, advocating for their rights and interests.
• Promote legislative and infrastructure improvements that ensure safe and accessible cycling conditions.
• Foster dialogue and cooperation between citizens, NGOs, businesses, media, and institutions to optimize urban transport networks.
• Improve road safety for cyclists and encourage responsible behavior for all road users.
• Popularize cycling as a healthy, eco-friendly, and affordable mode of transportation.
• Build positive public attitudes toward cycling and urban mobility.
• Encourage equality, respect, and tolerance among everyone sharing the road.
• Support and connect cycling associations and communities throughout Bulgaria.
• Contribute to sustainable urban development and environmental protection.
