Interuniversity Career Center of Career Developement

The Interuniversity Career Center of Career Developement (ICCD) in the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) was established in 2002 and has been operating actively since 2003. It is a unique institution in Bulgaria, integrating resources and expertise to support the professional development of students, PhD candidates, alumni, faculty, and administrative staff — not only from UNWE, but also from other Bulgarian and international universities.

The Center’s mission is to support students, doctoral candidates, and alumni in their successful integration into the labor market by providing up-to-date information, career counseling, training programs, and guidance to help them navigate the dynamic realities of today’s global workforce.

Through its diverse initiatives, ICCD serves as a bridge between employers and young professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary for sustainable career growth and lifelong learning.

Main Structural Units of the ICCD

To meet the broad spectrum of needs among students, doctoral candidates, alumni, and employers, the ICCD operates through several specialized units:

  • Career and Professional Development – Provides professional orientation services, individual career counseling, and personal development support.
  • University–Business Partnership Office – Builds strategic collaborations between academia and the business sector, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation.
  • Practical Training Department – Facilitates and coordinates internship and placement opportunities in both public and private organizations.
